Graham and Joan's memory of Liz

2000

Dearest Lizzie - Our memory ...... which one should I choose ..... there are so many shared by our friendship over the years. One that springs to mind is when you and Dave rented a narrow boat in 2000 and asked us to spend a weekend with you. We met up at Milton Keynes and "set off" up the canals towards the Midlands with Dave doing an excellent job of manoeuvring the narrow boat out of the moorings. We were already laughing at this point! We all marvelled as we crossed high above the motorway on an aquaduct. And of course then there were the 13 frustrating locks! I tried to help Liz with the first one and then handed the job over to Graham. Lizzie you had those locks down to a fine art ... I skived off by staying onboard :o( And then the best moment when Graham spotted a windmill and asked Dave if he had taken a wrong turn because it looked like we were in Holland! We nearly wet ourselves laughing and still laugh about it today as one of our special moments. We will miss you Lizzie but we have so many wonderful memories to make us smile when we are sad. Thank you for all the good times. Rest in peace dear friend. Love you always Graham and Joan McGuire
